About

Composer-pianist Will Fergusson is a graduate of UEA, renowned for his dazzling mercurial interpretations of classical and new repertoire, whose original compositions have been performed throughout East Anglia. He plays for the Archaos Ensemble and has been solo pianist for the Eaton Concert Series, as well as the Holt, Hostry and Coast Arts festivals.
He has been concert curator for Norwich Arts Centre, as well as director and accompanist in choral music to multiple choirs across the region. He is a member of numerous bands of varying styles and genres and has been commissioned to write music for short film soudtracks. He produced two albums under lockdown on Bandcamp (stage name MACFEARGHUIS).
His monumental undertaking of Beethoven's complete piano sonatas for the 250th Beethoven anniversary was completed this year after the 2020 interruptions in a sold-out concert sequence at the Belfry Arts Centre in Overstrand, North Norfolk. He is composer for the 'Beethoven's Tenth' central production at the Hostry festival this October and is performing in a revue of Ivor Gurney's life and music in Suffolk throughout autumn.

HOLOCENE
As I understand it
We've all had it pretty good
In this dip in the temperaments, a
Few skirmishes here and there
But generally the sun has
On mornings of its choosing
And melted the heart hoars
Giving rise to gladness
We see green and hold it close
Like family
The warm ocean licks us clean
Like a favourite
Cat, and only occasional thunder
The charms are quite obvious
Despite the tsunamis
Which I'm sure we can forgive
As not all sweep away townships
We live in the valley
A concave time in a convex world.
